Matthew Lizik

Mr. Lizik came to Taft in 2019 as a History teacher, where he taught American and World History for four years. During this time, he served as the 9th and 10th Grade Team Leader, Social Studies Department Chair, and helped coach Track and Cross Country. During the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years, he served as Assistant Principal. Mr. Lizik was named as Principal in 2025.

I am honored to serve as principal of a school that is deeply committed to academic excellence, innovation, and the success of every student. At Taft, we take pride in preparing our students for college, career, and life through a strong foundation in information technology, digital media, cybersecurity, health sciences and other career pathways that reflect the ever-evolving world around us.
