Our Principal

Michael D. Turner

Michael TurnerMr. Turner has been an educator with CPS for nearly 30 years and has served the last 14 years as Principal (2013 to present) and the Senior Institute Manager/Program Facilitator (2001 to 2013) at Robert A. Taft Information Technology High School. Mr. Turner began his teaching career as a math teacher at Lafayette Bloom Middle School. This school later became Lafayette Bloom — Back on Track — Accelerated Middle School as Mr. Turner became the Program Facilitator, working with Principal Anthony Smith in the restructuring effort. This new middle school enabled overage middle school students to accelerate learning in order to recover lost years, helping them to get back into their correct grade.
