Principal's Message

Dear Robert A. Taft Information Technology High School Student:

Welcome to Robert A. Taft Information Technology High School. We are now in our 9th year of this exciting program. I would like to personally share some spectacular news about our school.

We now have a total of seven Information Technology labs: one for Cisco Networking, one for Information Services and Support, two for Interactive Media, two for Information Technology Foundations, and one for general use.

The first day of school for the 2009-2010 school year is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18. 2009. The school day starts at 8:45AM and ends at 3:10PM. On the first day of school, students should report to the lobby of Building 6 to receive schedules.

At Robert A. Taft IT High School, students have the opportunity to participate in many different academic and athletic activities. We have a variety of clubs, including an Academic Team. We have a variety of athletic teams, including three football teams, six basketball teams, a volleyball team, a softball team, a baseball team, and two track teams (indoor and outdoor). Additionally, students may participate in cheerleading, Dancing Jewels (drill team), band, choir and many other exciting opportunities.

I am proud to welcome you to Robert A. Taft Information Technology High School--a school where the opportunity for success is unlimited and where FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION! We are rated "Effective" by the Ohio Department of Education. Further, we have been named as an "Ohio School of Promise".

Remember that coming to school is one part of the process. Being involved in the school creates life-long learners. We are looking forward to another great school year.
