SENIOR INSTITUTE Senior Institute (SI) courses are designed to expands students' knowledge in the specialty area of Information Technology. In the Senior Institute, students take a two-bell course during the 11th and 12th grades in either Interactive Media or CISCO Networking Academy. Both Senior Institutes are based on ItWorks.Ohio. CISCO Networking Senior Institute
Students enrolled in the CISCO Networking Senior Institute will become competent in the areas dealing with the planning, implementation and analysis of network systems. Students will learn how to analyze networks system needs for design, installation, maintenance, and management. Skill areas include things such as operations, network administration, basic network design theory, computer hardware maintenance, and network management. Students specializing in CISCO Networking can expect to receive jobs with titles such as Network Specialist, Network Operations Analyst, Local Area Network (LAN) Technician, and Customer Service Coordinator. Students at Robert A. Taft Information Technology High School may complete CISCO material online. Information Services and Support
Students enrolled in the Information Services and Support Senior Institute learn everything there is to know about computer repair and support. Students are actively engaged in learning how to assemble and disassemble computers as well as to provide support for people having computer problems. Students enrolled in this program are equipped with skills needed to pass the A+ Certification test.
